Oh! come to the home of theblnst!
There is happiness waiting for thee
In a land that is flowery drc.-t!
Where the song"; of the purest heart? ever
Triumphantly swell o'er the vale
Where maidenly beauty is never
Left alone in its sadness to pale;
Where the winds never blow with the blasts of the
North
Where the prairies their bijou'" disp'ay;
Where wafted by breezes the flowers shed forth
Their sweets to the Goddess of day!
Oh ! this land is the Queen of the earth!
This clime is the home cf the brare !
Here laurels arc twined for valor and worth
That survive the decay of the grave.
Then lady ! let thine be the praise
Of this land of bright stars and sweet dews!
And hithcrward speed on thy ways
