Joint resolution authorizinc the Comptroller of the Stato of
Texas to exchange some of the. public property in the dty of
Austin for a lot and buildings adjoining the Gcijehil Land Office;

into the propriety of passing a law extending to the citizens of
Santa FO who have not received their land in the following
quantities to wit : 320 acres to eVery head of a family and every

sent county of Santa Fe; and also to providp some method by
which said citizens shall establish Ihcir right to and sometfibu

64th section of an act entitled an act to organize justice's courts
and to define the powers and jurisdiction of the same approved

on the bill to1 create the counties of Presidio El Paso and Worth
was had.
On motion of Mr. Lewis was referred to the Judiciary com-

On motion of Mr. Fields Mr. Gillet was added to thoSpecial

of Mr. Jowers Mr. Scott was added to the same cpmmiitce; on

war belonging to the State of Texas to the city of Austin ; read

to continue to perform duties until their successors are elected

House Mr. Dickson moved that the House recede from its sub-
stitute. Mr. McKinney moved that a committee of conference bo ap-
pointed. Question : Shall the House recede from its substitute was
put and carried and the Senates bill passed.
Mr. Wilson moved a reconsideration of the vote just taken re-
ceding from the substitute for tho bill authorizing and empower-
ing all officers &c. ; canied J and on motion of Mr Stewart a
