FEDERATION.
the laches of the Central
Christian Church entertained
the Womnn'o Missionary Feder-
ation Monday October 30th.
Delicious refreshments were
served after an excellent musi
cal program had been rendered
The church was beautifully
decorated with cut llowers and
pot flowers.
The Federation agreed in
business session to become n
town organization by doing
civic -work as well as bonevo
lent.
Meetings will be held the
second Tuesday in each month
at the Grammar school auditor
ium.
The next meeting will b
Tuesday Nov. 14 4 P. M. at
the Grammar school.
The membership is already
around one hundred.
Wo feel that much good will
be accomplished by this organ-
ization both for the town anil

night fire of unknown origin de-
stroyed a dwelling here owned
by J R. Machu and occupied by
J. R. Cobb and family. The resi-
dence and contents wore com-
plete loss. No' one was at home
at the time the fire started.
The loss was estimated at ap-
proximately ?3000 partially
covered by insurance.

made to feel as she entered the

The rooms wore profusely
decorated with yellow and black
crepe paper black cats and
witches.
JMrs. Clyde Moorepresiding

of witch was so realastic she
was expected any minute to
mount her broom and sail thru
the air.
The (most enjoyable feature
of the aftoroon was little Miss
Barn Lee Moore exhibiting
the latest steps in dancing
with all the grace and daint-
iness of a fairy while some of
the latest selections were being
played on the victrola.
A delicious salad course was
served.

GREAT SUCCESS.
A record breaking crowd at-
tended the stunt party which
was staged at the Casino hall
here Friday night by members
of the Parent-Teacher associa-
tion and the senior class of the
Bartlett high school. As a re-
sult of a small admission fee
charged $205 was realized. The
proceeds will be used in buying
equipment for the high school
football team.
