School Gets Piano
The Intermediate School -has
recently received a good used
'piano which was purchased

ten.
Former Resident
Dies In Cleburne
H. B. (Pat) Durant 80 of
Cleburne former resident of
Bartlett died Thursday at John-
son County Memorial Hospital
in Cleburne.
iFuneral services were held
at 4 p.m. Saturday at Pitts-
Dillon Chapel in Cleburne. ."
Mr. Durant was born June 21
1897 in Bartlett. He married the
former Bernicc Lancaster in
Granger on June 6 1918.
Ho was a retired Santa Fe
employe and a member of the
Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; a
daughter Mrs. Al Cadenhead of
Rosewell N. M.; two grand-
daucrhters. Miss Lyn Huntley
of Austin and Mrs. Nancy Sch-
uhmarf of Washington D. C;

Funeral services for Mrs.

dent Wro conducted at 2 p.m.
Thursday in the Goodnight
Funeral Chapel with the Rev.
Hill Smith officiating. Burial
was in the Bartlett City Ceme-
tery. Mrs. Whitfield died Tuesday
in a Temple hospital after a
short illness.
She was born in Rome Ga.
and moved to Texas when she
was five years old. She was a
member of tho Fhjst Baptist
Church of Bartlett and a mem
ber of the church T. E. L. Sun-
day School Class.
Survivors include five daug-
hters Mrs. Dorothy Sowell and
Mrs. Louis Alspough both of
Grand Prairie Mrs. Doris
Wright of Granger Mrs. Arta
Meta Henry of Florence and
Mrs. Brooksie Nell Culps of
Pasadena; three sisters Mrs.
Estell Baker Mrs. Mae Kizcr
and Mrs. Delia Williams all of
Fort Worth ; nine grandchildren
and 15 great-grandchildren.
