DALLAS - The message that Milka Duno of Venezuela, the popular race car driver,
brought to the Metroplex is very clear: "Everything is possible if you set goals and
objectives and work according to what you want to achieve."
Last night Duno participated in the campaign "Latinos Read: Literature Movement in the
Majestic Theater" to encourage reading among Hispanic children.
"I enjoy this kind of event very much because as an adult I feel it is my responsibility and
job to instill education," emphasized Duno, who is an example behind the wheel of her
Pontiac Crawford and in her career as a naval engineer.
It is precisely in the last profession that she has stood at the forefront, earning four
degrees in areas such as Organizational Development, Naval Architecture, Maritime
Business, Fisheries and Aquaculture, all at the same time.
With that curriculum under her arm Duno firmly maintains what many do not dare to do
with confidence: "Everything is possible, even though it may be difficult to achieve, it is
not impossible. The most important thing is to have determination because you set your
own limits."
