meeting of the semester. The fol-
lowing officers were selcted:

reporter. New members were vot-
ed into the organization and it
was decided that the permament

parlor of Howard Payne Hall The

On October 14 1949 "The Air
Force Band of the West" flew to
roit Leven worth Kansas to par-
ticipate in the American Royal
Livestock show held in Kansas
City on the loth. The unit rend-
eied a one hour concert for the
personnel stationed at Fort Lev-
envvorth and served as the official
band for the Texas Cavaliers hon-
or i nests at the parade.

Dr A A. Brian came to How-
ard Pavue last March from
Brownfield where he had been
pastor for six years. He gradua-
ted from Howard Payne in 1933.
He held the pastorate at Level-
lanel for nine and a half years and
at Littlelreld. He was missionary
for District 9 and a member of
the Wayland College board of
tiustees for fifteen years.
Wavlnnd College presented
first Doctor of Divinity ever to bo
given by that school to Rev. Brian.
