Howard Payne University will soon
have a new Vice President for Enrollment
and Student Services. Brad Johnson a for-
mer HPU administrator will return to
Urownuood to assume his duties on May
12.
"Our university is fortunate to have a
person of Brad Johnson's caliber to sere
in this key leadership post" Hall said. "He
has had valuable 'hands-on experience in
student recruiting admissions retention
career services financial aid counseling
and residence hall management."
Johnson currently serves as Director
of Financial Aid and Scholarships at
Hardin-Simmons Univeisity. From 1999 to
2002 he served at McMurry University as
Assistant Director for Financial Aid and as
Associate Director for Admissions and
Financial Aid. From 1996 to 1999 he
served as Director ol
Univeisity Counseling.

Laura Lacey Johnson a 1999 gradu-
ate of Howard Payne University has been
named HPU's Director of Alumni
Relations. The announcement was made by
Dr. Lanny Hall HPU President.
"Laura Johnson is an outstanding
individual who has all the skills necessary
to be an exceptional director of alumni
relations. Her excellent academic prepara-
tion in the area of communication and her
experience in non-profit organization
fundraising will serve our institution well"
Hall said.
Johnson a current member of the
HPU Alumni Board served from 1996 to
1999 as Public Service and Public
Relations Director for KPSM Christian
Radio in Brownwood. She completed a
journalism internship as a news reporter for
KTXS Television in Abilene.
From 1999-2002 Johnson gained
valuable experience as Assistant Director
of the Nonprofit Resource
CenterSupervisor of the Funding
JSH
Information Library a
program of the
Community
Foundation of Abilene.
Currently she serves as
a teaching assistant in
the Communication
Department of Abilene
Christian Univeisit
where she is complet-
ing her Master of Arts
degree in
Communication.

about the opportunity to serve my alma
mater and look forward to building stiong
relationships with the many alumni
friends and supporters of this great univer-
sity" said Johnson.
"The Alumni Association of
Howard Payne is excited to have Laura
come on board as our new director" said

the process of sharing ideas and goals to
better support our university."
