Sandwich Boards
Designed by HSU
Ad Art Students
A form of point of purchase ad-
vertising familiar to theatre and movie
patrons of three to four decades ago
is still a viable form of advertising at
Van Ellis Theatre on the campus of
Hardin-Simmons University.
Sandwich boards are currently
being used to herald the musical
comedy production of "Lil Abner."
The sandwich board designs are the
work of Ad Design students John
Valles Jason Clements Chad
Howard and Ashley Featherston.
The completed boards are on view
in front of Behrens Auditorium and
Moody Center. The boards were ex-
ecuted by Clements and Valles with
assistance from Featherston.
While not an ordinary class
project Tom Rigsby who instructs
Ad Design at HSU admits to a cer-
tain satisfaction with his students1
hard work and imagination.
