Parking Could Be a Problem
Unless Students Cooperate
Relocation of the HSU Book-
store to Moody Center and dorm
changes at Hunter Hall will make
parking places even fewer and
farther between this fall.
HSU Bookstore was moved
from the corner of Ambler and
Hickory Streets to the lobby of
Moody Center to make it more
accessible to students. Guest hous-
ing in Hunter Hall is.being trans-
formed into a men's dorm to make
room for an increased student en-
rollment These two changes make for
difficulty in finding a parking
space. Chief of Police Don
Dearman asks that "all on-cam-pus
students walk to the book-
store. It is centrally -located in
Campus Police Phase
Due to the complex locking
mechanisms on new model ve-
hicles HSU Police will be phas-
ing out their door unlocking ser-
vice. "Too much damage is being
done to the vehicles when we try
to unlock the doors" says Chief of
Police Don Dearman.
Without sending someone to
locksmith school which could
prove cosdy Dearman feels the
campus police can no longer offer
the unlocking service.

leges atHSU's Richardson Library
and the Smith Music Library as
well as the libraries at Abilene
Christian University McMurry
University and Abilene Public

Introductory tours of the li-
brary are given for freshmen
through English 1301 classes.

The parking lot behind Hunter
Hall has only 65 parking spaces to
serve its 110 residents. Overflow
from Hunter parking lpt will be
behind Frost Fine Arts Center.

tion from all HSU students add-
ing that HSU police will be more
consistent with their enforcement
of the 5-minute' parking spaces
20-minute parking spaces 1-hour
parking spaces and visitor park- -ing
spaces located in front of
Sanderfer Memorial Building and
Moody Center and the Johnson
Building.
Out Unlocking Service

security key cabinet where stu-
dents can keep a spare key to their
car. All students must do to get
into their car is call the campus
police and give them the key num-
ber. The policemen will then bring
the .student their spare key.
Also a wrecker service will
charge discount prices to students
who call them to unlock their cars.
