Students faculty return for
new semester classes changes

News Writer
After a month of sleeping in and
overeating coming back has been a chal-
lenge for most if not all of Hardin-
Simmons students. Many have returned
hoping to fulfill their
New Year's
Resolutions but
everyone has
returned praying to
stay focused through-
out the year.
Underclassmen real-
ized that studies need
to be taken seriously
while graduating
seniors are anticipating
the month of May. With new faces differ-
ent professors and a wide range of activi-
ties this spring will be an experience for
everyone.
The first semester is usually one
where freshmen learn to adjust to college
life. They stay up late and procrastinate
but the winter break tends to help them
get back on track. "Last semester helped
me adjust to the differences between high
school and college" Kristie Perkins said.
Most of the returning students feel that
their work load has lightened and now
have an opportunity
to improve their
grades and get
more accomplished.
Different
activities will be
going on during the
semester. Both the
Queen of Hearts
formal and the
Spring Round-Up
(a preview weekend for upcoming fresh-
men looking towards HSU for their
future)is put together by Student
Congress. More importantly graduation
is once again coming up. After four five
and even six years of cramming for tests
