many axes as we do. So many
things can be dona to help the

Dates Announced
By ACC Senators
A calendar of events for
March and April was presented
Monday to the Abilene Christian
College student senate by Lerrlll
White Students Association vice
president and senate president.
Senate meeting was held at
6:30 p.m. in a conference room
in Corbin Recreation Center.
White also read letters of
appreciation to ACC students
from Robert D. Hunter ACC
vice president for public rela-
tions and development and Mrs.
Ruth Stevens wife of new ACC
president Dr. John C. Stevens.
The letters expressed thanks
to Um Students AssoeiaUon for
Um recent $6000 gift to the
library endowment fund and Um
part students played In the
recent inauguration of Dr. Ste-
vens. White also announced coming
elections and other events. He

For Graduation
As requested by the senior
class the 1970 spring com-
mencement exercises at Abilene
Christian College have been
scheduled for Sunday May 10
instead of the original dates of
Sunday and Monday May
17-18.
Degree candidates presented
their ideas to Dr. B. J. Humble
dean of Um college and Um
Calendar Committee chaired by
Ken Raseo registrar. They ap-
proved the change and presonted
It to Dr. John C. Stevens ACC
president who approved it Wed-
nesday. Raseo explained that Um new
system eliminates baecalaureate
services. He said all candidates
will pertieipate in the cere-
monies although all grades will
not be determined by Um 10th.

elections. He added that elec-
tions for nxi year's class offi-
cers senators and SA officiate
would be held later thk spring.
Other events on the schedule
according to White are senate
social Mareh 18; seminar for
college students March 14;
closed senate meeting to present
constitution March IS; high
school day March XI; and
all-school day annual faculty
and staff recognition dinner and
band concert April 84.
He added that the annual
Tri-CoHege Olympics would be
held later this spring offering
competition for the three Abi-
lene colleges.
He Introduced SA treasurer
John Fitzgerald who handed out
a survey for senators and guests
to complete on student life and
student government.
White ako told senators of a
newsletter planned for all ACC
students with a pot office box
in the campus center telling of
acaomplkhmente and events
sponsored by the senate for the
1969-70 school year.
Garvin V. Beauchamp ACC
vice president for student per-
sonnel services talked to the
senators at Um end of the
meeting. He pointed out that hk
office was to help the students
not control them. He added
words of appreciation for the
recent SA gift to Um library
endowment fund.
Beauchamp ako handed out a

three ways student life at the
college could be improved.
