The patlors of Howard Payne Hall
resounded to the music of merry voic-
es and Joyous laughter from 7:30 to
:.1il on the evening of December 15
while the I'hllos and 1'hilas enjoyed
their annual Christmas party.
The parlors were prettily decorated
with Hit Yuletide colors. No one who
elileteil could resist thu feeling of the
Christmas spirit which prevailed the
air.
A smalt caul with the date and the
picture of a bountifully loaded Christ-
mas tree on It was pinned on each
guest us a memento of the party and
a reminder that the time of Christ-
mas was near.
After the tlrst minutes nf greeting
were over games were enjoyed. Then
Miss Nannie II. Ilrooks pleased those
pi esetit witli a song. Following this
several I'hllos made short snappy pep

speeches several persons entered car-
rying enough apples and oranges for
all ami much nioie. Then followed
a mad scramble and some very infor-
mal fun.
All loo soon the bell tang and the
I'hllos and I'hilas hied themselves
home declaring there is always fun
in a Christmas party.
