About the Collection

This 22-volume set includes historical and genealogical accounts and records for Ellis County, both original and transcriptions. The records contain various lists of records such as births, deaths, marriages, etc., taken from family Bibles, cemetery and church records, wills, and other relevant sources.

Compiled by Mrs. A. L. Feltenberger and the Rebecca Boyce Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution between 1954 and 1970, this 22 volume set includes historical and genealogical accounts and records for Ellis County, both original and transcriptions. The records contain various lists of records such as births, deaths, marriages, etc., taken from family Bibles, cemetery and church records, wills, and other relevant sources.

The Texas Genealogical Records, Ellis County includes unique records and accounts of the history of Ellis County, including family Bible records, family histories, church histories, cemetery records, wills, and marriage records as well as Ellis County pioneers, school records and histories, and biographical sketches of the people of Ellis County. It also provides details about the Parson's Texas Cavalry Brigade from 1861 to 1865 as well as other military records.
