Description: Postcard depicting three soldiers walking through a camp. Snow covers the ground and the tops of structures. The men face the camera. Long icicles have formed at the end of the eves of the wood structure on the right hand side of the image. The postcard was addressed to J.R. Teague, Framingham, Massachusetts, of Hollis Avenue. The back of the postcard reads: “Taken at Fort Yellowstone, Yellowstone, Wyoming”, however the postcard is postmarked: “El Paso, Texas, March 16, 1918, 4:3? PM”.

Some of the horses appear to be malnourished because their ribs are showing. Perhaps the horses were left to graze in this field. On the right hand side of this postcard three soldiers are looking down towards the ground and appear to be searching for something.
