Household Arts Building (1913)

Description: Several women near the steps of the Household Arts Building at Texas State College for Women. The three-story brick building has six columns with Ionian capitals. The Household Arts Building was the second largest instructional building erected on the campus of Texas Woman's University. The Legislature appropriated $75,000 for it, and the building was occupied with the opening of the 1913-14 school year. Decatur Highway Underpass

Description: Decatur Highway underpass below the Santa Fe Railroad. The road is unpaved and right before the underpass, in the distance, two unidentified men are visible standing on either side of an automobile. The highway still exists and the present-day location of the underpass is now called 11614 Jim Christal Rd., Krum, Texas.

Denton Ariel Club's "Art Day" Program

Description: The program lists the scheduled performances by members of the Denton Ariel Club's, Art Department during Art Day on March 4, 1912. The "Art Day" was held at the home of Mrs. L. H. Schweer and performances include "The Merry Wives of Windsor," "Forget Me Not," "Oh Nightingale," and others. The programs for the afternoon were hand-painted bluebonnets on the cover done in watercolor with gold leaf accents. The program inside was done in gold lettering.
