Description: Arrowhead Mills in Deaf Smith County. Dr. George Heard and others laid the foundation for success during the 1930s and 40s because of publicity of the quality of our land and water. David Rogers started a small milling operation at Dawn, TX. Henry Turner bought it out in the 1950s and became one of the founders and the first president of Arrowhead Mills in 1960. George Warner provided much of the guidance in the 1970s. Frank Ford then took over and today it is a multi-million dollar food business selling products under the names of Olde Mill, Deaf Smith, The Simpler Life, and Arrowhead Mills.
