Photograph of the kitchen of the Holland Hotel in 1902. On the left side of the frame is a man with a mustache and an apron standing behind a table full of dishes and pots. On the right side of the frame are three men in white suits and hats and one man in a dark suit and tie standing around a counter. Over their heads hangs several pots, pans, and utensils. Next to the man in the dark suit is a shelf with dishes. Behind the people is a row of stoves, shelves, and ovens. In the foreground is a pillar and wooden partition. Typed below the photograph is, "The Modern Kitchen of Holland House. Chef on the left, Steward on right." This photo is from a newspaper clipping, which can be seen on either side of the image.
