[Epitaph of Colonel Ezekiel Polk]

Description: Newspaper clipping containing the epitaph of Colonel Ezekiel Polk, father of former President James K. Polk. The epitaph was contributed to the newspaper by Mr. O. P. Foote, who copied the inscription while visiting the burying-ground in Bolivar, Tennessee while stationed there with the Third Iowa Infantry in 1862.
