Attachment for Penholders.
Patent for a simple and effective attachment for penholders. It is "readily and easily attached to a penholder, and which is adapted to protect the fingers of the hand and prevent them from coming in contact with the pen or with the inked portion of the holder" (lines 15-19).

Patent for a new and improved attachment for sewing machines. This design "is to prevent the presser-foot from catching in the fibers of the material as the same is being sewed" (lines 13-15). It is "composed of a sheet-metal plate bent upon itself to form a loop and having an integral arm extending from the upper edge of the loop out of the plane thereof and having its free end concaved" (lines 93-97).
Attachment for Sulky-Plows.
Patent for a sulky-plow that "is designed to secure an even and steady movement of the plow when turning furrows across listed ground, whereby the work is facilitated, the draft lightened, and the task of the laborer reduced" (lines 9-13).
Attachment for Thimbles.
Patent for invention for the improvement of attachments for thimbles. "The objects of the invention are to produce a device of simple construction for cutting the thread when sewing that can be readily applied to old as well as to new thimbles; also to produce the device in such manner that the thread can be quickly and conveniently cut at any desired point in an expeditious manner " (lines 17-24). Patent for "an extension-handle for the manipulating-levers of vehicle-brakes" (lines 9-10). This invention was designed especially for vehicles with extra side-boards, so the brakes can be employed as conveniently as possible while the driver would normally have a hard time reaching the brake-lever.

Attachment for Wheel-Plows.
Patent for "invention has relation to improvements in attachments to sulky and other horse-plows" (para. 3). Combines a circle-plate, transverse clamp-ridge, clamps, a bearing plate, a king-bolt, a transverse sleeve, an axle, adjusting collars, and transporting-wheels on said axle.

Attachment to Cotton Gins.
Patent for a new and improved attachment for cotton gins. This design "consists of a lever-frame journaled to the gin-frame and carrying a shaft provided with a friction-pulley which may, by will of the operator, be thrown in contact with the driving-pulley of the gin, thus rotating the shaft, which is provided with a set of cleaning-blades fitting between the gin-saws between which they are, by the said mechanism, made to revolve rapidly, thus cleaning the said saws" (lines 18-27).
Patent for a new and improved auger. This design consists in "[t]he combination of a shank provided with a conveying-screw and the cutters at the lower end of the screw, the sides of the cutters being extended beyond a vertical line drawn across the edges of the screw, and a tube or casing enclosing the screw and connected at its lower end with the cutters, said tube being of less diameter than the cutters and arranged within the outer sides thereof" (lines 56-64).
Autographic Register.
Patent for an autographic register meant "to provide improved means for guiding, printing, cutting, and filling a record-bill and discharging original and duplicate bills" (lines 9-12). The printing and feeding mechanisms operate independently, bills may be any desired length, and checks may be numbered successively and dated.

Patent for a device to register fares in situations where passengers pay to be transported from one location to another, specifically by train. The fare-collector needs a way to have accurate receipts as fares are collected. The invention is a "small portable ticket-holder and registering device (lines 38-39), that issues valid tickets "which will enable a conductor to keep a correct current amount of fares as received as well as a record of tickets sold and mileage traveled on same" (lines 41-45), and prevents dishonesty in fare-collectors.

Patent for an autographic register that provides "improved means for guiding, stamping, cutting, and filling a record-bill and discharging original and duplicate bills; [provides] improved means for guiding the strips of paper and holding the carbon or duplicating paper in operative position; furthermore, [provides] improved means for operating the several parts of the mechanism to insure accuracy and facilitate the subsequent permanent filing of the record-bills" (lines 9-19).

This design "consists, first, in the combination of the draw-heads . . . connecting-rods . . . and a partially-rotating shaft provided with suitable slotted cams, which cams are attached to the brake-beams, so that when the draw-heads are forced inward or drawn out the brakes will move out of contact with the wheels; second, in the combination, with the slotted cams and a mechanism for moving them, of the rods which are connected thereto, and which pass through the brake-beams, the sliding sleeves, the springs, and the nuts" (lines 13-27).

This design consists in "[t]he combination, with a coupling adapted to hold two cars together, of an uncoupler comprising a lever pivotally connected to the car, a weight supported on the car and connected to said lever, and a connection between the weight-operated lever and the coupling for operating it, to separate the cars upon the dropping of the weight" (lines 4-11).
Automatic Cork Extractor.
Patent for a new and improved automatic cork extractor. This design "consists, principally, of a vertically-moving and partially-rotating blade having a harpoon-shaped or shouldered head for piercing and drawing the corks; in laterally opening and closing jaws for holding the necks of the bottles; in pivoted and laterally-moving pointed levers for throwing the parts of the corks away from the blade when withdrawn, and in the construction and combination of the parts of the device" (lines 14-23).

Automatic Cotton or Corn Planter.
Patent for an automatic cotton or corn planter that is simple and inexpensive, and is a line of planters that sows in parallel rows that does not need to be guided by hand. The devices are independently adjustable.
Automatic Cotton-Weighing Scale.
Patent for an automatic cotton-weighing scale that is designed "to be used in connection with pneumatic conveyers, and it is of such construction that it will automatically weigh any amount that its scale may be set at, cut off the supply from the conveyer, empty itself, and immediately reset itself, the resetting of the machine opening the supply-valve from the conveyer, so that the weighing operation can be repeated" (lines 13-21).

Patent for improvements "to the means for actuating the valves controlling the steam supply" (lines 10-12).
Automatic Cylindrical Power.
Patent for a new and improved cylindrical power-source. This design "consists in the combination of a cylindrical slotted frame with a series of blades which are connected together in pairs, and which are alternately forced through the slots in the frame to receive the force of the wind or water and then retracted, so that they will offer no resistance during a portion of the revolution of the frame. . . . The object of [the] invention is to produce a motor which is adapted for use either as a wind-wheel or a water-wheel" (lines 13-27).

Patent for "an attachment for stove-dampers whereby said dampers will be automatically moved, in order that the fire may be maintained at a predetermined heat" (lines 9-13).
Automatic Damper-Regulator.
Patent for an automatic steam damper-regulator that is simply constructed, and can quickly close and open its damper in the flue of the boiler or furnace.
Automatic Danger-Signal for Railroads.
Patent for a "device for indicating at railroad crossings and other points, the approach or departure of trains within any given distance of such crossing or with relation to any point where persons might come into dangerous proximity to the train if they were left unadvised by some such signal as this." Automatic Drop-Lid for Bins or Boxes.
Patent for "boxes or bins for store counters and shelves; and it has for its object to provide certain improvements in the lid devices for boxes or bins, so as to avoid the many objections to hinged lids, which interfere with free access to the interior of the box or bin when the same is used under the counter or on shelves" (lines 8-15).

Patent for a new and improved automatic dumping cage. This invention is to "use in the shafts of coal and other mines"(line 9-10).
Automatic Electric Alarm.
Patent for an automatic electric alarm meant to be hooked up to an automatic dry-pipe sprinkler system, and protects against fire. The alarm goes off when the air in the sprinkler pipes falls below a predetermined level. This invention also signals an alert when there is a leak in the pipes, and is an improvement on the circuit-wires for similar alarms.
Automatic Electric Alarm.
Patent for an inexpensive, simple, and durable automatic electric alarm that allows people in house or hotel rooms, mines, ships, shops, etc. to signal for another person. The alarm is wired to a clock so it can be programmed to go off at a certain time.
