Description: Map shows major cities along the railroad routes of the Union Pacific Railroad Company and its connections, state boundaries, "Dakota [Territory]," and "Indian Ter[ritory]," but does not include the New England states. Includes population and area statistics, table of distances, and "Description of the Map." Cities and routes connecting through Omaha and corresponding line of longitude are marked in blue ink, and through Kansas City in red. Text discusses significance of 100 degree line of longitude and 41 degree 07' (Omaha) and 39 degree 03' (Kansas City) lines of latitude which are marked on the map and favorably compares the route through Omaha, Nebraska over that through Kansas City. No scale given.
