Input Guidelines:

  • This element can be used to describe the original (physical or digital) resource from which the current digital resource is derived. 

  • Give any bibliographic information (the title, format, call number, etc.) deemed necessary to identify the source resource. Recommended best practice is to reference the resource by means of a string or number conforming to a formal identification system. 

    -Note: The Relation field also provides for such usage, which would be useful for discovery of related resource.
