Description: Poor quality photocopies of letters which were sent to Jack Ruby during his time at Dallas County Jail. The letters were written by citizens, many of whom express an interest in his well-being and spirituality. Newspaper clippings are included.

Description: Photograph of brothers Ullmann and Joseph Kilgore sitting together in their military uniforms. Joseph, the brother on the right, was a lieutenant in the U.S. Army and an officer in the 43rd Infantry Division in New Guinea. Ullmann, the brother on the left, was part of the U.S. Navy's 24th Seabee Battalion. Having just finished a successful campaign in New Guinea, Joseph's division had been ordered to rest in New Zealand, where Ullmann's battalion were also ordered to go.

Description: Interview with Arwin Bowden, a marine during World War II. He begins by discussing his training in San Diego and New Zealand before the Battle of Tarawa. He describes being wounded in the battle, the casualties he saw, and being shipped back to Pearl Harbor for treatment before joining the battle of Saipan. He describes ancedotes about Japanese killing themselves rather than surrendering, eating food from a garden watered from rainwater running down from outhouses, the wages he made, and the time he had leave.
