Description: Studio portrait of school children dressed in WWI Red Cross and Army uniforms for the funeral of Frank Maresh in 1918. Maresh died in France shortly after WWI ended. His body was returned to Sealy and buried in the local cemetery. Children in front row are Clara and Frank Maresh, niece and nephew of Frank. Bat-Forming Apparatus.

Description: Patent for an apparatus to form bats, made of fibrous material, to be placed in the coverings or tickings to make mattresses. The apparatus works so that "the bat-forming fibrous material may be evenly distributed, and by which the mattress-forming operation may be expeditiously carried on" (lines 16-19). The patent includes illustrations.
