Fez-style hat of red felt. The cylindrical crown has a flat top into which the sides are pleated to form a rosette with a central circle from which extends the black cord tassel. Unlined.

Line of openwork fagoting at front sides from shoulders to ruffle at hem. D) Belt. Cream silk? satin, with narrow vertical pleats/ruching as on crown of veil. Lined with silk/satin ribbon. Two hook-and-eye closures. E) Fabric remnant. Part of train? Peter Pan collar; flutter sleeves; four tucks at front waist. Center front closure of shank pearl buttons. Partial label at center back collar: "Abalene / ...."
Skirt suit
Two-piece skirt suit of black wool. A) Jacket. Inset chest detail of 1/2" orange/red line across front and up to shoulders. Long sleeves with matching inset orange/red panels along upper sleeves with black cord detailing. Just below hip-length; center front opening with three hook-and-eye closures. Split faux tie of same fabric at waist. V-neckline. Slit pockets at front sides just below waist. Lined in black crepe; shoulder pads. Designer's label: Adrian / Original B) Skirt of black wool. Street length. Left side zipper closure; lined in black synthetic. Possibly a replacement for the original skirt. Union label.
Hat
Hat of red straw. Styled with aspects of both a cloche and a bonnet, the hat has a domed crown of red straw that is partly encircled at the base by a band of red velvet to which is affixed sprays of artificial flowers (Roses, violets?, and others), cherries, and leaves. The narrow brim turns down around front and sides, and is cut short in back. Around sides and front is green mesh veiling. Hat is unlined, with red grosgrain inner hatband.
