Description: A photograph looking down on the quadrangle of barrack buildings at McMurry University in Abilene, Texas. The Quadrangle housed classrooms and offices in the 1940s and 1950s. The buildings were brought from Camp Barkeley when it was decommissioned after World War II. Mid-photograph is the two-story residence of the McMurry president, which was demolished to build the Amy Graves Ryan Fine Arts Center. The long barrack building in the distance was used for music classes.
