Description: Folding fan made of thin polished wood or bamboo guards lacquered a dark mahogany and dyed purple. Paper leaf with hand-painted abstract design of flowers and foliage on a reddish ground. Metal bail. Reverse is unadorned. No visible labels or marks.

Cotton petticoat

Description: Petticoat of white cotton with lace trim around the double layered hem with upper tier of scalloped ruffle with lace and lace inserted panels. Yellow ribbon inserted under white lace in the middle section with a bow tied on one side. Full length and flared with princess panels and gathering at waist. Button closure on 1" waistband.

Fish Fry on Matagorda Bay

Description: Postcard of a group of men tending to a meal being prepared on the ground. Three of the men are actively engaged with various cooking utensils, while the two in the back look on. They appear to be standing in a barren landscape. There are no distinguishing landscape elements. Two names are listed on the back of the postcard, but it cannot be stated with certainty to whom they apply.

Vigoo Andersen Home

Description: Photograph of a two-story structure in Danevang, Texas, belonging to Viggo Andersen. The house has horizontal light-colored siding and short hip roofs that extend slightly outwards form the walls. A gable roof in the first floor appears to create an overhang for the front entrance, but that part of the house is mostly hidden from view by the presence of a large bush on the left part of the image. Identical, rectangular windows cover both the first and second floors.

Description: Copy negative print of a two-story house in Danevang, Texas, belonging to Hans Peter Jensen. The property is surrounded by a chicken wire fence with large trees planted just inside it. The house has a steep gable roof with shingles and horizontal siding. There are several double-hung windows on the first and second floor. A young boy stands outside looking at the camera, but he has not been identified.

[Antomine Andersen Christensen and Spinning Wheel]

Description: Copy print of an older woman, identified as Antomine Andersen Christensen, seated in a chair behind a spinning wheel. She wears a long-sleeve dress and glasses. She is outdoors, and in the distance, several trees can be seen. Accompanying information indicates that she was 90 years old at the time the picture was taken. Her daughter, Marie Christensen, married Chris Christensen and moved to Danevang, Texas.
