The 1911 Majestic Theater in Fort Worth

Description: Photograph of Commerce Street in Ft. Worth, Texas. The Majestic Theater is in the center of the frame with many signs and posters on it. Some read, "The St. Louis Limited. Road Through The Ozarks. Frisco Lines" Another poster reads, "Majestic, Venus, Alpha Sextette". This is Fort Worth's second Majestic Theater, built in 1911. Next to the theater is a building with awnings and a sign that reads, "Fisk Tires, Gasoline". Telephone poles and wires and horse-drawn buggies line the road.

The Crazy Theatre

Description: The Crazy Theater was located at 400 North Oak Avenue, on the east side of the street opposite the Crazy Hotel. The sign reads: "Week Commencing Monday June 22." The street does not appear to be paved, which dates the picture prior to 1914. Bennett's Office Supply now [2013] occupies the site of the former theater. The theater features in A. F. Weaver's "TIME WAS in Mineral Wells..." on page 17.

Pad for Lower Limbs

Description: Patent for a new single pad for the lower limbs, particularly of "feminine theatrical performers" (lines 12-13). Unlike previous pads which represented single muscles, the new pad contains all the muscles required for a lower limb in one, so that the muscles will not slip around when the performer is dancing.
