Across instep is narrow band of pink, white, and black leather segments set with a single square black faceted gem mounted in silver colored metal. A second matching strap extends from insole, curves across instep, threads through a similar band, then continues around back of heel and back down to reattach to insole on same side it began. This band also set with two square faceted black gems. 3" high spike heel is thick, covered with black patent leather on sides and back and brown leather as sole on front. Designer/Maker's label stamped on insole at heel: "RODO / Since / 1956" within wreath. - Map shows cities and villages pictorially in the region of Umbria, Italy during the late-sixteenth century. Relief shown pictorially and by hachures. Scale not given.

The neckline, cuffs and hem are embellished with applied bands of gold, silver, topaz and rose-colored bugle beads, sequins and rhinestones. - Copy negative of two pictures of Perini family shrines in Italy. The print over the entrance of the first says "Famiglia Perini," and the second says "Coniugi Perini." Both are concrete structures with a metal gate across the front, cross decorations, and a plaque in the back with writing on it. There are mountains in the background.

- Quintus Horatius Flaccus [Unbound sheets]
- A complete set of unbound sheets of the last printing of the Pickering Horace. The Horace was originally printed by Pickering in 1820 as the first of his Diamond Classics, and are a landmark in the world of miniature books and printing. This set of sheets are a remarkable survival, giving insight into the printing and binding process. The sheets are quarter-sheet impressions, each sheet holding 8 front-and-back leaves (16 pages) of the text. The sheets have been folded into gathers, and left thus. The separately printed frontispiece engraving is included as an individual sheet. The whole is housed in a book-form leather case.

- 15th-century Italian manuscript leaf. Displays very large-format Psalter containing Psalms 134 et seq. The text opens with, "Ecce nunc venedicte Dominum, omnes servi Domini.."

- This 12th-century Italian manuscript recovered from a binding, displays a double column, rounded Italian gothic hand, and a series of tiny pinpricks at edges where binding hardware had been attached. Text here contains parts of the homilies from Johannes Chrysostomus' work on the priesthood, "De Dignitate Sacerdotali," and from Saint Gergory's "Homiliae in Evangelia."
