Description: Photograph of Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas. A Mexican bandit (Maximo Castillo) is being kept inside a fenced area with tents. The inscription on the back reads "Castillo, the Mexican Bandit, who is supposed to have blown up tunnels, killing several people and wrecking trains. I was not allowed to take this picture: U.S. officers made me put away my Kodak; so I put is on the ground at my feet and stepped on the bulb and got this snapshot. --F.C."
