Description: The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with Sandy McLeod. McLeod joined the Marine Corps in 1939. He arrived in Hawaii on 1 December 1941. McLeod mentions losing one brother during the attack and reuniting with another who was wounded. He was sent to Palmyra Island for 15 months and served as a gun captain on the defense force.
