There !s a big rush on in Dallas for drinking
water just plain, ordinary drinking water.
And to answer the demand, one concern is
packaging drinking water in half-gallon cartons.
Since tap water, in some sections of Dallas,
has begun to pick up a strong mineral taste,
the sellers of bottled water have reported
booming business. As a matter of fact, the
dealers have run out of bottles and are asking
purchasers to please return them.
he Cabell company, which sells the half-gallon
carton of water for 20 cents, has no bottle
problems. Red River water and the depletion of
White Rock Lake have been blamed for the
unpleasant taste of tap water. But the packaged
varie t,y tastes — well, just like water.
