Love Field on his way to Washington where he'll be
officially sworn inas the state's new senator
That event will be the climax to a political
career that includes three heart-breaking campaigns
for the governorship and then a victory last April
that was unique in Texas politics. Mr. Yarborough,
who'll soon be milling his drawl with other voices
on capitol hill, has been leading up to his appear-
ance in the senate with a demand for an income tax
