The water falls away from the riome of Larry Grove,
WBAP newsman. His was the last house hit.by flood-
waters, and, the first to be cleaned up. Neighbors
in his block form a broom and bucket squad, and the
house is hosed down and washed out in a matter of a

Heaviest damage was .to houses nearer the creek, xik
which have been under water four times.....

At the Jimmy Thompson residence water rose four and
a half feet inside the house....eken higher in oth-
er houses....But after four floods, Thompson and
his neighbors somehow muster enough strength and
spirit to clean it all up again....-30-
