An ambulance leaves a construction site in North Dallas.

partially completed Sterling Jewelry Company, tells fire
investigators he called an ambulance for 0.F. Briggs, of
Roanoke, after Briggs was injured, shortly after 10 otcloo)
this morning. Edgar Welch, a general carpenter, says
Briggs was cutting two by fours with a skill saw. Welch
says all of a sudden# Briggs threw back his arms, soreamed,
and fell to the ground. He says Briggs was shaking all
over, and the injured man yelled for someone to pull the
plug on the saw, Briggs, a carpenter, never lost
The plug was pulled by a carpenters assistant, Calvin
Bates. Fire investigators say Bates probably saved
Briggs is reported in fair condition at Baylor Hospital;
