Charlie wears a Tyler Junior College letterman jacket. A car arrives carrying F.C. and Gladys McNeill and Glen and Anna Key (00:00-01:21). At their home on Bernard Street, Virginia and Charlie play with a dog (01:21-02:00). In the next scene, Virginia’s nephew Ted McNeill plays outdoors with his mother Nina McNeill and his father Ned McNeill (02:43), Charlie, and Virginia (02:00-04:02). Virginia and Charlie spend Christmas at F.C. and Gladys McNeill’s home (04:02-07:39) with the Ted and Nina McNeill family. Virginia and Nina receive childrens shirts that read “North Texas State 19??" (04:47) . The group sits on the couch (left to right), F.C. and Gladys, Charlie, Nina, and Ned (07:09). In the next scene, Virginia is outdoors at her home on Bernard Street with her brother Jack Ball, his wife Nancy Ball, and her nephew Michael Ball (07:39-08:59). Michael and Jack play with Virginia’s dog. The next scene includes footage of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church and the F.C. McNeill home in the snow (09:00-09:27). The next scene shows Virginia’s high school friend, Bobbie Ward Bell, with an unidentified boy and dog (09:27-09:44). Virginia and Charlie go fishing at a tank south of Denton owned by their relatives Lester T. (Jinks) and Dixie Gray McLeod (10:09-11:03). In the next scenes, Virginia, Charlie’s brother Howard McNeill, and his wife Gladys exit a home (11:03-11:28) and Virginia and Charlie play with their new dog (11:29-12:38). The McNeill family, including F.C. and Gladys, put flowers on the grave of Charlie’s mother Lilllie McCleod at Chinn’s Chapel Cemetery on Decoration Day (12:38-13:30). Virginia, Charlie, and family friend Jimmy Hartline play with a dog in the McNeill’s yard (13:30-15:38). Virginia and Charlie leave Flow Hospital on July 23, 1956 with their newborn daughter Pam and bring her home to their house on Bernard Street with Nina (15:38-16:37). The last part of this film documents the McNeills at home with their young daughter Pam including footage that highlights a day in the life of a family caring for a newborn child with shots of a clock to signal different childcare activities. The film also includes footage of Virginia with family friend Betty Magill Hartline (24:46), Pam’s first Christmas, and Virginia and Charlie dressed in period costume for Denton County's centennial celebration in 1957 (28:36).
