About the only think unusual about this basketball
game is that it has been going on for 16 hours
without a single substitution. Or, for that matter,
a single foul, or free-throw. No great decision is
beingr reached: no championship is being determined;
the Paschal high school students are just trying to
play basketball for 17 hours to set a new mark in
the little known sport of marathon basketballing.
It all started when a South Texas high school team
played the game for 16 and a half hours.

people accepted the challenge for the greater glory
of Paschal and Fort Worth.
Play began at 4 yesterday
afternoon, with the ten players taking one five minute
time out per hour, and fifteen minute time out every

At nine this morning, the 17 hour mark is reached
and the players stop their ceaseless dribbling to
fait stretch out on the floor and reat their abused
