DALLAS SNIPER 1:15
A 23 year old Dallas County welder used this 30.
caliber military rifle to terrorize the Dallas
county town of Seagoville. Morris (Micky) Cawthorn
admitted firing at least 9 rounds int homes
in the Seagoville area on December 30th and 31st.
He also admitted firing 8 .45-caliber pistol bullets,
one of which wounded 15 year old Samuel Salazar as
he sat in a parked car. Salazar, now recovered, wasthe only from
Cawthorn's sniping spree.

says
Cawthorn, whoae learned to shoot in the Army
reserve, signs a confession. He tells Dallas County
Sheriff's deputies he was riding with a friend when
he had an impulse to shoot. He pulled out JMTad
pistol, and began firing. He drove the home,
stopped by house to pick up the rifle, and
continued on theisniping raid. Cawthorn
tells deputies "I'm sorry and ashamed, but that
doesntt help that boy I hurt." He can't explain
the shootings,
