MYSTERY BLIND WOMAN
Sheriff's deputies in Tarrant and Parker counties are
trying to find out what happened to a 24 year old
mother from California, Mrs. Charlotte Morris. Mrs.
Morris, blind since birth, is reported in fair condi-.
tion at Harris Hospital in Fort Worth, with aBM
fractured pelvis, facial cuts and a possible head in-
jury. The woman was transfered to Harris from a hos-
pital in Weatherford. Mrs. Morris told Tarrant
County authorities that she, her husband and five
month old child were enroute to ]1U Mexico, after
visiting her mother in Wichita Falls. She said they
pulled off the road, about four miles southeast of
Weatherford, Friday night, with the idea of getting
some rest. Mrs. Morris said that was the last thing
she remembers. A passerby found the woman in a ditch
this afternoon, apparently near the spot where the
couple's car had been parked. She had been severely
beaten. Authorities have been unable to locate thewoman's husband and child.
