The fire broke out at 7:30 this morning, and afterthe two-alarm blaze was put out, the fuselage was
a total loss. 36-year-old Clayton Reeves received
second degree burns as a result of the M lash fire.
Reeves was cleaning the inside of plane with acetone
fluid as linoleum was being removed from the galley
area. It is believed static-electricity may have
ignited the fumes. In seconds the entire fuselage
was on fire, and 13-men, including Reeves scurried
out of all exits.
