Note

  • Display Note: The exhibit was held in the UNT Archives Reading Room in Willis Library. It was organized to celebrate the sesquicentennial anniversary of the City of Denton in 2007 and featured artifacts from the UNT artifacts collection.
  • Display Note: Treasures of UNT officially opened January 24 (Wednesday), 2007. Michelle Mears, UNT archivist (former), said many of the items on display were donated to the Archives by alumni or past faculty members. The exhibit includes a large number of Green Jackets memorabilia from the estate of Beulah Harriss, a physical education faculty member who founded the women's spirit and service organization in 1925. Other items include class rings, maces used by past presidents and Homecoming artifacts.
