SOUND ON FILM COMING
Commander Scott Carpenter is the only man ever to
have served his country s* both fan astronaut and
an aquanaut. Carpenter, in Dallas to speak before
the Association of Engineering Geologists, 4 ,
ended his association with the space program a
month ago to devote full time to under-sea
exploration. He says next May the crews of the
Sea Lab in California will again undergo extended
stays under the ocean and may try to live as deep
as 600 feet, Carpenter obviously feels there's
much more to be gained from exploring the ocean
than exploring outer space.
