BRYAN CABIN
Workmen in Dallas this morning begin the
job of moving
the John Neely Bryan cabin from its spot near the old
red courthouse. The cabin, home of the city's first
settler, has been sitting on the courhouse lawn since
1936, but construction of an underground parking

and a ramp for the are forcing the eviction of the
cabin.. The county tried to give the old structure to
the city so it could be restored in a city parks but
because of strong public opinion it was deeded back to
today's -
the county so it could stay near the courthouse. z*

so workmen will have room to complete the garage ramp.
After the construction is finished, the cabin will be
