over Frst National Bank in
major league action. Bobby
Maisiel was the high point
man for Judaco with 11
points. Jim Sharp netted 14
points for First National.
Kermit State Bank
downed the Downtown Lions
by a 23 to 22 margin. Mike
Parks was the leading scorer
for Kermit State with ten
points with Jim Burleson
leading the scoring for the
Lions with 14.
Cowling Motors easily
defeated Sid Richardson
32-18, as Chuck Moore and
Barry Kimball were the high
point men with ten points
each. David Armstrong also
scored ten points for Sid
Richardson.
In junior league play, A-l
Construction Company
narrowly defeated Handlin
Insurance 31-28.' Ray
Richardson was the high
point man for A-l with 15
points while Ronnie Moore
tallied ten for Handlin
Insurance.
Rodney Almanza led
Campbell Oil and Gas to a
21-10 win over Cates Carpet
with a total of 16 points.
Troy Pinkston tallied four
points for Cates.
KERB downed Ben’s Gulf
20-14 with Roger Bell scoring
ten points for KERB. Ben

national association (AARP)

membership in the Winkler
County Chapter is $2 per

Following luncheon Mrs.
Kris Berghauser, secretary,
read the minutes of the last
meeting. Mrs. Liller Mangum,
treasurer, gave the treasurer’s
report and also reported on
membership. More than 40
members and their guests
attended the March meeting.
Rev. Russell G. Collmer
and his wife gave a slide
present ation of the
earthquake that hit
Guatemala a year ago. The
members present enjoyed the
program so much that they
invited Rev. Collmer to come
back for the April meeting
and show the balance of his
pictures. The April meeting
will be held Wednesday, April
13.
