THE TEXAS STATE HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION announces
the sixth annual H. Bailey Carroll Award for the best article to ap-
pear in the Southwestern Historical Quarterly from July, 1972, through
The award is a cash prize of $2oo. The prize money has been given
by numerous donors in honor of the late Dr. Carroll, long-time
director of the Association.
Articles should be based upon original research, fully documented, and
styled according to the general format of the Quarterly. Any article in
the Quarterly on a Southwestern topic will be considered.
