Southwestern Historical Quarterly
The Annual Meeting of the Association will be held in Austin on
March 8-1o, 1973, at the Stephen F. Austin and the Driskill hotels. Six-
teen sessions on a wide variety of topics are planned for the meeting.
The Corning-Chamberlain Memorial Auction of Texana will be on
Friday afternoon, March 9. Members are urged to send in Texana for
this event. The Galveston Historical Foundation will host a cocktail
party for Association members on Thursday evening, March 8, from
5:30 until 7:30, at the Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library.
The Association's constitution states that proposed amendments to
the constitution are to be mentioned with an announcement of the
meeting. The Executive Council recommends the following amend-

February 16-17, 1973, in Denton. The theme of the workshop will be
resources in regional history. The workshop will be jointly sponsored
by the society and North Texas State University. Ray Stephens is in
charge of the local arrangements for the meeting.
The first annual meeting of the Society of Southwest Archivists will
be held at the University of Oklahoma, Norman, Oklahoma, on June
7-8, 1973. Program chairman for this meeting is Sandra Myres.
The Western History Association will hold its 1973 annual meeting
