Notes

Photograph of 613 W. Kolstad taken from the road. Photo was taken for the Historic Resources Survey of Palestine, Texas 1989-1991. This modified L-plan house has some of the most stylish architectural ornamentation of any of the mainly vernacular dwellings in the surrounding neighborhood. The most distinctive feature is the small pediment on the porch that marks the primary entrance. Sidelights frame the front doorway and are further evidence of the Classical Revival influence on the house’s design. The property retains much of its integrity.
