Proceeds of Plav Go
To Abilene Milk Fund
McMurry College Theatre's pro-
duction of Private Lives Tuesday
was received with more enthusiasm
than possibly any other play that
has been staged by the group
The play was a sophisticated
farce and held the audience in con-
tinuous laughter throughout the
performance
A scene cited by most people
as the most convincing and yet the
most highly entertaining was the
one in which Jackson Lord as
Eljot Chase and Mrs LoNoyl
Bra j as Amanda his wife of a
former marriage have a fight on
ntagc She breaks a phonograph
record over his head and hits him
on the jaw
Tho settings were especially well
done The garden sccno on top of
the resort was perhaps the pret
ticst sencry ever on a McMurry
stage These were in charge of
Glen Stark speech major.
Proceeds of the play amounting
to approximately twenty dollars
went toward the P T A milk
fund for under-privileged children
Ruth Sherman as Sjbil Chase
Katherlne Korman as Louise the
maid and Mr Hugh Fellows
speech department head who di-
