The Public Motor Corporation ha*
purchased the Frank L..Webb Oldsmo-
bile Agency, Main and Leeland. An-
nouncement of the purchase was made
by Phil A. Zuber, veteran business
man ,who is well known in automobile
trade circles and is president and gen-
eral* manager of the Public Motor
Corporation.
The corporation deals in six and
eight-cylinder Oldsmobile automobiles
and G. M. C. trucks.
In announcing the purchase of the
agency, Mr. Zuber said:'
’’I went into the automobile busi-
ness because I felt the Oldsmobile is
the outstanding car of today. The
outstanding features of the Oldsmobile

LIBRARY BENEFIT DANCE
A meeting of the board which is to
sponsor' a dance for the purpose of
raising funds to establish a Jewish pub
'lie library in Houston, will be held,
Monday, November 26, at 8 p.m. at
the Hebtew Institute.
Announcement will be made soon
as to the tithe and place of the bene-
fit event Jake Wilkenfeld has donated
the services of his orchestra for the
occasion.

DELMAN THEATRE TO
OPEN NOVEMBER 28
The Deiman, Houston's newest
theatre, will have its formal opening
at 6:15 p m Wednesday, November
28, according to an announcement
Tuesday by Manager L. O. Daniel Jr.
At this hour guests will be welcom-
ed by Manager Daniel and I. B. Adel-
man of Fort Worth, owner and op-
erator of the new de luxe theatre. An
hour will be spent in formally receiv-
ing guests and in inspection of the new
theatre, which has every modern fea-
ture and is ‘the, first Houston theatre
to be. built espcially for sound pictures.
At 7:15 p.m. the first picture will
be thrown on the Deiman screen, and
a continuous program will be shown
throughout the evening. The feature
will be Shirley Temple in "Baby Take
a Bow.” Short reels will be selected for
variety. Mr. Daniel said.
Price scales at the new theatre, which
will have a policy of two-day runs of
popular features, will be as follows:
Fifteen cents for all seats up to 6 p.m.
and after- that hour 15 cents for the
balcony and 25 cents for the down-
stairs seats. Children will be admitted
for LO cents at all hours.
Opening hours for each day of the
week except aturday will be 12:45 p.
m. and for Saturday 10 aan.
