- Display Note: Photograph of 927 N. Queen taken from the road. Photo was taken for the Historic Resources Survey of Palestine, Texas 1989-1991. The Queen Anne style enjoyed tremendous popularity in Palestine during the late 19th century. This large 2-story house is a good example of how local builders applied ornamentation that reflected a specific architectural style. Although the porch was altered (probably in the 1920s), the building retains much of its original character. Adam Schnoor was the earliest known owner of this house. He worked for the I&GN Railroad, and lived here from as early as 1926 until at least the early 1940s.
