Holy Rosary Catholic church
in Hostyn was the scene at 3
o’clock Sunday afternoon of
the marriage of Miss Virginia
Mae Urban and Nolan Mein-
ardus. The Rev. Adolph Janda
performed the ceremony.
Mrs. Pete Ramosek, organist,
provided the nuptial music.
The altars were decorated with
arrangements of chrysanthe-
mums.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Joe F. Urban
and the bridegroom’s parents
are Mr. and Mrs. Alvin W.
Meinardus, all of La Grange.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, was gowned in
a wedding dress fashioned of
Chantilly lace over white satin.
The princess cut bodice was
made with a scoop neckline,
embroidered in iridescent

The jacket was fastened down
the front with tiny covered
buttons and a small collar of
lace, embroidered in sequins,
finished the high neckline. The
full flared skirt, worn over
crinolines, was floor length.
Her finger tip veil of imported
silk illusion fell from a baller-
ina crown of seed pearls and
iridescent sequins. She carried
a cascade bouquet of large
white chrysanthemums.
Attending the bride were
Miss Jo Ann Svrcek, the maid
of honor, who wore nile green;
Misses Rose Marie Svrcek and
Nancy Hajovsky, wearing
shrimp pink, the bridesmaids;
and the flower girl, Patsy
Svrcek, in white. They wore
identical gowns, the bodices
being highlighted with soft
nylon net shirring and lace
bands forming a V at the
waistlines. Matching lace bands
on the front of the full double
net skirts gave the gowns a
redingote effect. In between
the panels were flurries of ny-
lon net accordion pleats. They
wore stoles and bandeaux of
matching nylon net. They car-
ried bouquets of white pom
pons tied with satin ribbon to
match their dresses.
Clement Janak served the
groom as best man. Grooms-
men were Johnnie Orsak and
Johnnie Svoboda. Charlie
Divin and Joe Urban were
ushers and witnesses Were A.
L. Grigor of Corpus Christi
and Eld. Tobias.
Mrs. Urban wore a purple
dress with black accessories
and a pink chrysanthemum
corsage. Mrs. Meinardus wore
a brown dress, beige accessor-

ON COLORADO HUNT
W. J. Ebner of Houston, a
former Fayette county resi-
dent, was one of a party of 17
who went on a deer hunt to
White Water, Colorado recent-
ly. There were 24 deer killed
by the group, Mr. Ebner get-
ting a 27-point mule deer
which weighed 350 pounds.
